1. (a) Explain, how are scenario based simulations different from knowledge based simulations.
(b) Discuss how multimedia can be used for the following application areas:
(i) Fashion Industry
(ii) Flight and Aviation Institute
(iii) How does QuickTime Software work?
(d) Differentiate between video conferencing and document conferencing. How does video conferencing play an important role in Management?
(e) Explain the role of annotations in the applications of hypertext, using an example.
2. (a) Explain the production and distribution phases of multimedia development.
(b) What is hypertext? Give two applications of hypertext. Explain any five elements of hypertext. Differentiate between the following:
(a) E mail and Voice mail
(b) Vector image and Bitmap Image
(c) CD ROM and DVD ROM
(d) Animation and Digital Video
4. Design a multimedia based on-line education system. Prepare logic flow chart and story board template for this system.
5. (a) Explain the role of multimedia in knowledge transfer using an example.
(b) Explain five major challenges for the multimedia developers.
